Real Time Car Movement Monitoring

If you are a car owner, railroad, shipper, receiver or any other party that needs to track railcars, whether it be to track your product in a car or just to make sure a car is going where it is supposed to, this service is for you.  Railinc, Inc offers a data service called RailSight which can be set up to report car movements based on many criteria, including the car reporting marks, car initials or user input on a single car for a single trip.  If you are a car owner, this data can be used to help verify car hire data and to verify that a car was at the location a repairing party claimed to repair a car.  This is an excellent auditing tool.

At Hershey Transportation Solutions, we can retrieve the data for you and generate reports based on data received from Railinc.  We can also monitor the activity for you and flag cars based on certain conditions.  Cars can be flagged if bad ordered, Idle for more than specified period of time, arrived at destination or just about any other condition that is reported through Railsight.
