Equipment Health Monitoring

Through the AAR/Railinc system, data is provided from wayside detectors on all the Class I railroads and even a few regional railroads.  Data from these detectors is transmitted to Railinc, where in turn it is reported to the car owner.

Hershey Transportation Solutions can receive this data on your behalf and place it into a database where reports can be generated in a format suitable to your needs.  We can also use this data in conjunction with the AAR repair billing data and car movement data to closely monitor your equipment health.  Having this information helps you to make the best choices regarding the maintenance of your equipment.
