Hershey Transportation Solutions’ staff have many years of experience working at the management level on several Shortline Railroads. Our experience includes, all the data entry related to car movements, billing for car movements, AAR car repair billing, Demurrage billing, Car Storage, Car Hire payables and receivables, and much more.

We are equipped to help you set up and train your personnel to properly use your software, or we can even do your data entry for you as a third party agent. This can come in handy if it is impractical for your railroad to have a person on duty at all times to do you car movement data entry or interchanges to or from your connecting roads.

We can also help you with setting up many of the items required by the AAR, such as creating operating stations, interchange locations, SPLC code assignments and Shop locations.

We encourage any railroad operator to read the many documents available on the Railinc website; especially the Guide for Railroads. We can assist on most of the issues described in this guide.
